Finally some more cool Baja Buses.  I travelled up the coast about 470km to a big VW show with the hope of catching some more photos of some Buses.  Not only did I get the photos I wanted they turned out pretty good as well.  All these buses are from Queensland, which seems to be the home of the Baja Bus and I hadn't seen or heard of any of them before.

I couldn't track down the owner of this nice bay window Baja but as you can see it's nicely done, I think its got a 2.0lt engine and runs on 10r tires at the back.

Again no luck geting hold of the owner, maybe he or she will see it here and contact me.  Again running 10r's on the back and it looks like its had no lift at the front.  Nice Baja style Bus though.

Here's a more recent shot of the Bus at the 50th Anniversary of the Kombi, it looks like its now had a lift at the front.  Unfortunatly I couldn't get out to the show but Steve Overmyer, a fellow Aussie and Bus guy, took some pictures and sent them on to me.

Baja Twincab

Here's another very cool Baja Bus, and a split window at that.  It has no lift at the rear but is running 33" tires which are a massive 12.5" wide.   This thing is real tall and a great example of a Baja bus.  It also runs a 2.0lt engine but uses a 1600 transaxle so it can turn those big tires.  The owner was a nice guy and very quiet considering how much atttention the bus got!!!
